About The Author

Dr Emilie Taylor-Brown is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Oxford; she holds a p1070301First Class dual honours degree in Biology and English (BSc), an interdisciplinary Masters by research (MRes),  and a PhD exploring the dialogue between Parasitology and the British literary imagination in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Her research interests include Victorian and Fin de Siècle Literature; Medical Humanities; History of Medicine; Parasitology; Gastrointestinal Health, Microbiome Studies, and representations of science in popular culture.
